Waitigai

There are several possible meanings for Waitigai,it literally translates as 'noisy or weeping water. ' Reed's Place Names of New Zealand notes that the literal meaning of the Waitigai in the Bay of Islands may refer to the noise of Haruru Falls at the mouth of the Waitangi River.

  1. Hi Aurora! My name is Mia from Yaldhurst Model School. Wow! Awesome work! I really like the word art, it's super cool. I really like the way that when you look far away from it, it looks like the hands holding and when you look closer you can see every single letter there.

What did you use to create this? Did you create it yourself? If so, what kind of website was it? I would really enjoy using this as well. I remember researching about the treaty of Waitangi a couple years ago, as well as seeing the real treaty in Wellington.

To improve, try fixing the writing that is going off the page, it's a bit hard to read.

    Great work!
    Mia
